Picture Frames

Frames and glass used for paperlesspaper devices.

We use wooden frames from Nielsen and Döhnert. OpenPaper 7 needs an 18 × 24 cm frame with at least 20 mm of depth.

Nielsen

Paperlesspaper frames inside

Use good glass to keep reflections low. We recommend at least UV70 glass. Acrylic is lighter but scratches more easily.

Before assembly, take out the original backing, clean both sides of the glass, and check that the backplane fits. Do not use a warped frame or one with loose corners.

Passepartout

Cut and attach the white border around the display.

Device Assembly

Put the battery holder, display, passepartout, spacers, and backplane into the frame.
